Philip has 45 years experience working across a range of businesses, whose professional accounting background includes all-round taxation and accounting expertise. In addition to many years working in accounting, Philip has pursued a career in commerce, acting in senior executive roles in the development of eCommerce businesses and advising SMEs on their strategic and financial direction. With the establishment of Smart Tax Partners in 2015 as a boutique accounting practice, Philip now provides a broad range of business advisory services to a diverse client base including high net worth families and individuals and rapidly developing SMEs, utilising his many years of practical accounting, management, corporate law and taxation knowledge, together with his hands-on business experience.
Philip establishes and maintains close working relationships with clients, and enjoys his trusted adviser role with a diverse range of businesses, taking a hands-on role in the development, documentation and implementation of their business plans. Philip also enjoys working with individuals, helping them manage their assets and financial positions to further their financial ambitions and give them the comfort that they are not alone in dealing with their financial matters.
Philip holds a Bachelor of Business (UTS), MBA (Macquarie University), a Diploma in FInancial Planning, and is a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand. Philip is also a registered Tax Agent and ASIC Agent.
