Resident Director Services
The Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) requires that all companies incorporated in Australia appoint and maintain at least one director who is resident in Australia at all times. A resident director must be 18 years of age (or older), resident of Australia or hold Australian citizenship, and consent to taking on the responsibilities of being a company director.
Smart Tax Partners offers the services of a nominee who can serve as a director to satisfy these requirements. A nominee director does not play an active role in the relevant company – rather, the nominee has no responsibilities other than satisfying the Corporations Act requirements. Contact us if you are interested in exploring this service further.
